Verbs - Tenses
The tense of the verb lets you know when the action takes place.
If the action has already happened it is in the past and the verb will be in the past tense
Yesterday we walked across the fields to have a picnic.
I was feeling a bit down last Wednesday so my brother took me to the pictures....
